The North Dakota Family Alliance fulfills a very unique role of being a trusted voice, unashamedly speaking out on behalf of a Christian worldview. We address all the family issues important to the people of North Dakota from a non-partisan perspective.
The North Dakota Family Alliance works to strengthen families, and protect our family values and religious liberties. We do so by informing, educating, and equipping the public and elected officials on the issues important to the family. The NDFA places a special focus on partnering with our churches to be "salt and light," that they might influence the culture rather than being influenced by the culture.
If the North Dakota Family Alliance was absent, North Dakota would lose a trusted and unique voice who stands in the gap for the family and family issues.
The North Dakota Family Alliance was incorporated in 1987 as a statewide, Christian, non-profit organization. Over the years, NDFA has taken the lead on many different initiatives:
– Led efforts to retain Ten Commandment monuments
– Serves as the sponsoring host for the "National Day of Prayer" in ND
– Spearheaded the successful North Dakota Marriage Amendment campaign in 2004
– Led the effort to place the Religious Liberty Restoration Amendment on the ballet in 2012
– Has been a trusted voice promoting pro-life, pro-marriage, and pro-family legislation during recent legislative sessions
